Framing is wrapping up this week with the final touches on the trusses and roof being worked on. The remaining detail framing will continue with arches, niches, staircases, etc... into the following week. With a warm wet winter expected, we'd love to get the home sealed up and dried out before we start the interior work. Right now, the rain has left everything soggy and wet. Nothing some time and a few heaters won't fix when the time comes.
The image above shows the full front elevation of the home. The three double garages on the left, the main entrance with a see-through view of the Columbia through the great room windows in the middle, and my dad's private retreat on the right.
Richard White has done an amazing job of designing this home with the beautiful roof lines, and Barton Brothers Construction has done a superb job of making that vision a reality with the very fine detail work of Sorenson's framers.
Not a lot of pictures to update with for now until the roof and windows go in. I should be updating more in a few weeks.
